Our frontend and backend developers built an Android and iOS application that supports players with real-time monitoring and helps improve their performance using artificial intelligence.

With every participation, you can bet on your performance and earn points that you can use for new play credit. However, a portion of the proceeds will always be donated as charity aid.

With the feature set implemented the idea was to create a betting challenge for players from all levels throughout the gamified platform and the UI elements, while simultaneously improving your swing technique with personalized videos. The Ace Challenge is the perfect blend of challenge and entertainment, making every round of golf a truly unforgettable experience with an extra layer of excitement and competition.

Client and Goals

The Ace Challenge is a skill-based contest called the 'Hole in One Challenge,' developed by The Ace Challenge BV. In this challenge, golfers pay an entry fee to attempt a hole-in-one on a par 3 course. Amateur golfers who achieve this feat are eligible for a cash prize. Professional golfers can participate but are not eligible for the prize money. Each attempt is recorded on video for verification and promotional purposes. Participants must report a successful hole-in-one within 24 hours to claim their prize.

Building The Ace Challenge app came with key challenges, from ensuring seamless real-time monitoring to integrating AI-driven performance analysis. Optimizing latency was crucial for instant feedback while refining AI models required precise data training for accurate swing assessments. Developing a smooth, engaging gamified experience while maintaining a stable and responsive UI added another layer of complexity, ensuring players enjoy competition and skill improvement without disruptions.
